In fleets, this typically happens when a commercial motor vehicle, or even a driver is not able to complete planned routes. Causing work to halt. While the reason for why the downtime is happening can vary, the effects can be financially crippling. For example, if the vehicle does not meet safety standards because it requires repairs or if the load is hazardous to operate.
